Healeys Head Big Parade

Saturday 8th dawned to a bright , cloudless sky and comparatively worm winter's morning as the crowd's gathered and the tension mounted for the Parade to get underway.

Members on hand and The EKKA show itself provided numerous items of coverage of ten AHOCQ's members driving their gleaming Big Healeys and hosting the finalists for the Queensland Country Life Showgirl Award winners, finalists and last year's winners in the 2026 EKKA Opening Parade. Channel 7 provided some more substantial coverage as well, but by the time this new item was written (the Monday after) for some reason it had been taken down.

Featured below are some shots of the gathering beforehand at Centenary Pool to enable us to arrive as a convoy in order and for Anita to support her fellow drivers with an early morning caffeine shot or two (thank you Anita!).

It was a great morning, enjoyed by all and with many thanks to all of the members who attended...lets hope we get invited back again!
