Planning for the 2023 Jumpers and Jazz events program for our now regular annual trip to Warwick is almost finalised. It will be another awesomely fun program of events and Grand Car display in the main street of Warwick, Palmerin Street, on Sunday 23rd.

The Jackie Howe Motel on 07 46612111 before we lose the block booking. Apparently during that weekend wind farm contractors are going to be sleeping in their cars, so the pressure on releasing the rooms is real.

There are quite a few twin queen bed rooms and several larger rooms still but get in fast to lock them in!

Jumpers & Jazz Warwick, 2023: Event Update

We can finally do an update that includes all the major anchor events, although not all pricing quite yet. Here is the current approximate schedule:

Friday 21st July:

10.00am Morning coffee at Ampol Foodary, Blacksoil.

10.30am Departure for drive to Cambooya;

12.15pm Arrival Bull & Barley Restaurant, Cambooya Hotel, Cambooya (order from extensive menu and pay on departure)

1.45pm Depart for Warwick.

3.00pm arrival Jackie Howe Motel.

5.00 Sundowners drinks (self organised)

7.00pm Jazz & Dinner Joie de Vivre Cafe Warwick (Booking required-booking form and final cost to come)

Saturday 22nd July

7.00-7.30am Gardens Galore Cafe (order and pay on arrival)

9.00am Bus pick up at Jackie Howe Motel for Winery, Feature Lunch venue and Distillery Tour. Cost $120

Venue #1: Art of Krupinski – an impressive new winery featuring established existing 4.5ha vineyard planted to chardonnay, shiraz, verdelho, merlot, cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc

"Highly awarded local winemaker Mike Hayes has played a role in bringing Art of Krupinski to life, and he continues to be involved in elements of the winemaking, which began with the 2022 vintage. General releases play to the typicity of each variety, with earlier drinking in mind." Halidays Wine Guide

Venue #2: Stanthorpe Wine Hospitality School: Wine tasting plus a Mini Degustation 'Medley of Mains' lunch.

The 'Medley of Mains' is 3 Main Courses on one large plate with matching wines and desert with matching desert wines. We also do a wine tasting there before lunch. There is no charge for the wine tasting.

Venue #3: Jester Hill Winery:

'concentrates on small quantities of premium-quality wines reflecting the full-bodied style of the region. Most recently they have planted sangiovese and roussanne ' Halidays Wine Guide

Venue #4: Conrad Distillery, This multi-award winning distillery features artisan's batch vodka, gin and coffee liquor distilled from grape sources.

Note: the wineries are now charging a $10 tasting fee but if you purchase wine there is no charge.

3.00-4.00pm Return to Jackie Howe Motel by bus

6.00 -10.00pm Dinner Dance: Creole Inspired Banquet with 'The Freud Squad' at Warwick Golf Course's, Belle Vue Cafe. Courtesy bus there and back. The Freud Squad is a 7-piece Jazz, Swing Latin and Pop band ready to set the house a rockin'. Cost $95.00 (Booking required-booking form to come).

 

Sunday 23rd July

7.00am set up for the vehicles on Palmerin Street (main street) final location will depend on how many vehicles we can muster on the day.

8.00am Grand Vehicle Display opens to the public. Self organised breakfast.

2.00pm Depart Grand Vehicle Display
