National Rally Hunter Valley 2023 Wrap up

What a great event this was. The Hunter Valley is an amazing place. So many great wineries, such great history and many interesting food and drink options.

The Chateau Elan Resort venue was awesome, imaginative and tasty food options for the main event dinners (2) and bountiful breakfasts set the attendees up for several days of touring around, visiting historic Homestead 'Tocal' with guided history tours for everyone, a mural 'treasure hunt' in Kurri Kurri (separate article forthcoming) and lots and lots of great wines, food and even chocolate!

Several members arrived in the approximately 15 cars in attendance, with others arriving in hire cars or alternative vehicles, with 2 being flat-bedded back to Brisbane (both serious fixes needed it turns out, one an engine and one a gearbox), one being fixed on the roadside and one being driven home in a timely matter due to an oil leak.

The 2024 West Australian Rally in Geraldton was officially launched with an August date to coincide with the wildflower displays the region is famous for. Stay tuned for more news on that as well.
